For ModCloth’s Spring 2019 campaign, FOUR WALKS celebrated the courage, individuality, and drive of four remarkable women: Awkwafina, Dascha Polanco, Halsey, and Hari Nef.

Created as a deeper exploration of ModCloth’s “Against the Current” campaign, the series of fashion films tells the stories behind their journeys, the obstacles they faced, the expectations they challenged, and the determination it took to become who they are today.

Directed by Alex Prager and set to an original orchestral suite by composer Ali Helnwein, FOUR WALKS blends cinematic storytelling and fashion to create intimate portraits of resilience and self-determination. Every film was captured entirely in-camera, using practical effects and crafted sets.

At its heart, the series is an invitation to find the courage to follow your own path, embrace what makes you different, and live against the current.
